Through extensive research we’ve built driver assist technologies into most of our vehicles that have the ability to reduce or prevent potential accidents.

These intelligent technologies may assist your situational awareness and in some cases, intervene to help avoid a collision or lessen the severity.

Avoid distraction
The safety feature below assists the driver in avoiding distractions and may help you avoid potential collisions with vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians ahead. Of course you should always follow safe driving practices when operating a vehicle.
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
If a collision becomes unavoidable, the Collision Mitigation Braking System may automatically apply strong braking to help protect occupants. It’s designed to reduce the likelihood or severity of a frontal impact with other vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians ahead.

The driver will receive audible and visual warnings, but when no driver action takes place, the system automatically engages to help avoid a collision.
Stay, don't stray
Depending on the severity of the circumstance, these next three car safety features are available to assist you in preventing your vehicle from straying off the road or into your fellow road user’s lane.
Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
The Lane Keep Assist System car safety feature helps keep the vehicle in the middle of detected lanes and uses tactile, audible and visual alerts to reduce the potential for harm and keeping you and other drivers safer on the road. This system will provide audible and visual alerts if the vehicle is detected drifting away from in between the road lines.
Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)
When you are in heavy traffic and the Lane Keep Assist System is active, the Traffic Jam Assist feature, upon detecting traffic lines, will apply steering torque to help keep your vehicle in the centre of the lane.
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDMS)
The Road Departure Mitigation System is designed to activate when it senses your vehicle straying too far off the lane. When the system monitors and reacts to a potential off road situation without the use of your indicator, it may apply corrective steering to bring you back onto the road.
If the system determines that its steering input is insufficient to keep your vehicle on the road, it may apply braking.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)
Unlike traditional cruise control systems, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow allows you to set your desired speed, as well as set the following distance behind the vehicle detected ahead. The system operates from a standstill to high-speed driving. It is especially effective when driving in congested traffic conditions. When Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow slows your vehicle by applying the brakes, your vehicle's brake lights will illuminate.
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)
The Traffic Sign Recognition function reminds you of important road side information, such as the current speed limit, your vehicle has just passed through, showing it on the Multi-Information Display.
The sign icon may disappear or switch to another one when the system detects a change in the speed limit or if you make a turn at an intersection with the turn signal on.
High Beam Support System (HBSS)
The front camera detects the light sources ahead of the vehicle such as the lights of a preceding or oncoming vehicle, or street lights. When you are driving at night, the system automatically switches the headlights between low beam and high beam depending on the situation.
SRS Airbags
Complete with 11 airbags all around you. Front, front-side, rear-side, centre, full curtain and knee airbags are at the ready if you ever happen to get into an accident.
Automatic Collision Detection
In the event of airbag deployment, a notification will get sent promptly to the device logged into Honda Connect. The app will also alert a Honda Connect Customer Care agent.
