Dealer inspected and verified MG HS Excite in the Trophy Edition, offered through a dealership group that offers the MG brand, with the balance of MG’s 7 year warranty remaining. Michelin tyres fitted with plenty of life remaining, along with unmarked alloy wheels in very good condition. Keyless entry adds convenience, and the black leather seating with red stitching is in very good condition.
Trophy Edition specification gives added exterior and safety features including 18 inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate and MG Pilot driver assistance. MG Pilot includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and traffic sign recognition. Rear of the vehicle provides good passenger space with a centre armrest and storage, and a reversing camera is displayed through a 10.1 inch touchscreen.
Cabin layout is clear and easy to use with the infotainment screen positioned high for visibility. The system includes inbuilt navigation along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Climate control air conditioning is operated through the screen, and push button start is fitted. Multifunction steering wheel includes audio controls, and the seating position allows for a wide range of adjustment to suit different drivers.
With a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine and automatic transmission, the MG HS is smooth and easy to drive. Supersport mode sharpens throttle response and adjusts transmission behaviour for a more responsive feel. The transmission also offers a manual mode for added control, supported by an electronic handbrake and hill descent control for added stability in varied driving conditions.
